Rebeca era la más inteligente del salón y la más hermosa, todas las chicas de la secundaria la envidiaban. Y la que más la envidiaba era Artemisa, una chica rubia -sin chiste y antipática- quien empezó a convencer a las de su grupo de que Rebeca era una engreída y que había que bajarle los humos. Como ella era muy fuerte y la más adinerada del salón, muchas le hicieron caso. Artemisa organizó a las más envidiosas para que al día siguiente, esperaran a Rebeca a la salida de la escuela.
El martes, cuando Artemisa vio salir a Rebeca, le dijo a sus amigas: "¡Vengan, vamos a darle una lección que no olvide!" Nadie se dio cuenta cuándo Artemisa sacó un borrador metálico de su mochila y con éste empezó a golpear la cara de Rebeca con increíble furia, Rebeca respondió pegándole una patada en la rodilla a Artemisa, tan fuerte que la tiró al piso. En ese momento, las demás jóvenes se le fueron encima a Rebeca, la tumbaron al piso y comenzaron a patearla tan fuerte que podían haberla matado si no hubiese sido por un profesor que las detuvo a tiempo. El profesor llamó desde su celular al servicio de emergencias del pueblo y una ambulancia llegó en cinco minutos a recoger a Rebeca que estaba inconsciente por los golpes.
Rebeca was the most intelligent student of her group and the most beautiful, all the girls of the high-school where she studied were envious of her. And the worst one was Artemisa, a blonde girl -graceless and obnoxious- who started persuading the girls of her group that Rebeca was too arrogant and that she needed a lesson to become less so. Since Artemisa was the strongest of them all and the richest, many girls listened to her. Artemisa organized the most envious of Rebeca's beauty to meet her the next day, outside the school.
On Tuesday, when Artemisa saw Rebeca coming out of the school, she told her friends: "Come on guys, let's teach her a lesson she may not forget". Nobody saw when Artemisa took out of her backpack a metallic blackboard eraser and started hitting Rebeca brutally on her face. Rebeca fought back and kicked her on the knee so hard that she fell to the ground. The rest of the girls reacted furiously and all of them ran after Rebeca threw her down and started kicking her so hard that they would have killed her had a profesor not stopped them in time. So, he called an ambulance that took an unconscious Rebeca away to a hospital.
